Plain english:  Long story short, I want to retain control of my work, and I don't want you bogarting it and passing it off as your own.  It's not.  However, feel free to read my stories, and to pass them along to friends, so long as they're in the archive from my site with the license files.  In fact, it's best to simply provide people with a link to the website (writing.idlecircuits.com), and that way you are sure to download the most recently revised versions of my stories.  Oh, and you can't use my writings to make yourself any money - that particular right is reserved by me, the author.  If you want to write your own stories incorporating my writing or ideas from my stories, you need to let me know and get my approval before publicly distributing it.  Additionally, the license may change if I think of any possible loopholes, and if it changes, you agree to be bound by the changed parts of the license.  Oh, and since I'm providing the stories for free, I'm not liable for any damages that they can cause you.  That's about it, in a nutshell, but this is just an unenforceable preamble - the actual license that you are agreeing to is specified below.

The "licensor" in this license refers to David Kibrick, or any of his authorized agents.

4. Injunctive Relief

You acknowledge that, by your breach of any of the following provisions, David Kibrick may not have an adequate remedy in monetary damages alone.  Therefore, you agree that David Kibrick shall be entitled to obtain injunctive relief of any breach of this license from any court with jurisdiction upon request.  Furthermore, you agree that David Kibrick's right to obtain injuctive relief shall not limit his right to seek further damages.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

You agree to hold David Kibrick harmless from any liabilities you incur from downloading these documents.  All works are offered as is, with no implied warranties, including warranties or merchantability and suitability for a particular purpose.

6. Termination

This license will automatically terminate immediately upon any breach by you of the terms of this license agreement.  If the license is terminated, you agree to destroy any copies of the documents in your possession.

The licensor may also release the documents under different licenses, or to stop distribution of the documents at any time - however, any documents downloaded prior to such actions will continue to be bound by the terms of this license.

7. Miscellaneous

This license may be updated from time to time with provisions that may not be included in this document.  The most up-to-date license is available at http://writing.idlecircuits.com/license.txt with the date of modification.  In addition to the license provisions contained herein, you also agree to be bound by any provisions of subsequent versions of the license.

This license comprises the entire agreement between both parties in respect to the licensed documents.  

If any provision of this license is invalid or deemed to be unenforceable under applicable law, it shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any of the other provisions.
