What this means is, I am quite happy to have you read the stories that I post to this site, but you are not allowed to do anything else with them. If you are interested in licensing any of these stories, you can contact me at dkibrick [ a t ) idlecircuits ( d o t ] com for further information. It's as simple as that.

That being said, I'm not going to have a conniption if you print one out to share with your friends, or something like that - although, I would encourage you to point them to the site instead, as I often continually edit and improve my works. Thus, the website is always the place to find the latest, greatest version of each story.

I will, however, come after you in a couple of situations. One, if you use my works commercially without my prior written consent, I will take whatever legal remedies I have at my disposal to resolve the situation. If you are interested in licensing any of these stories for publication, let me know at the email address above and I would generally be more than happy to work something out.

Also, even if you are not using my stories commercially, I will come after you if you attempt to take my stories, slap your name on them, and pass them off as your writing. This is bad on a number of levels: it is dishonest, it is disrespectful of me, and honestly, it's disrespectful of you. Regardless of your level, writing is always something valuable, and you truly miss out if you "appropriate" someone else's work instead of exercising your own creativity and imagination. So, that being said: just don't do it, and you'll save everyone a lot of time and aggravation.
